I was not born with a sketchbook and pencil in my hands and I have always wondered what I did for all that time in the womb because I haven't been separated from a sketchbook since.

I began my illustration and portrait carreer using the most portable medium I could find: Ball point pen. 

These days I have come to I love the versatility of working in Procreate and Photoshop as well. 

For special projects, I still make time to break out the gouache and acrylic paints now and then to paint 'in real life'. 

As an illustrator I am inspired by Illustrators like Brian Lies and Dan Santat who blend believable realism with exaggeration and imagination to create unique worlds for readers. In fine art I am inspired by the Korean and Japanese traditions of ink painting.
